IP Core Engineer

Role Overview:

The IP Core Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining the IP core network to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of network services.

Experience Levels

• Engineer: 3 Years
• Senior Engineer: 5–8 Years

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, configure, and support IP Core network infrastructure

- Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP

- Manage MPLS networks, including L2VPN and L3VPN services

- Perform Traffic Engineering (MPLS-TE) to optimize network performance

- Handle Inter-Gateway (IGW) routing and operations

- Monitor and support BGP operations, including BGP Operational LS

- Implement and maintain BFD for fast failure detection

- Perform network troubleshooting, fault analysis, and performance optimization

- Ensure network reliability, redundancy, and service availability

Technical Requirements:

- Strong hands-on experience with:

- OSPF, BGP, IS-IS

- MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN

- Traffic Engineering (TE)

- IGW

- BGP Operational LS

- BFD

- Solid understanding of IP networking and core network architecture

- Experience working in a service provider or large enterprise environment is a plus
