PTWL is looking for irrigation engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

• Schedule and Supervise Technicians: Maintain schedules for irrigation technicians and the entire irrigation team. Supervise and delegate tasks, including start-ups, walkthroughs, winterization routes, system modifications, installations, troubleshooting, field repairs, inventory management, billing, and timesheet tracking.
• Training: Oversee all irrigation training programs to ensure that team members are well-trained and up-to-date with the latest industry practices and technologies.
• System Monitoring: Communicate and delegate job expectations and company resources as necessary to monitor irrigation systems. Identify system problems and communicate recommendations to the appropriate parties as needed.
• Client Coordination: Work closely with Operations Manager and Project Managers to understand client needs and objectives. Carry out weekly objectives and daily schedules accordingly.
• Inventory Management: Enter and track purchase orders for materials and maintain inventory levels when needed to support irrigation projects.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all irrigation work is completed within the allocated time frame and meets the quality standards set by the company.
• Paperwork Management: Manage irrigation technicians' paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintenance: Supervise the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance schedules for various irrigation systems, including drip, bubbler, and sprinkler systems, as well as pumps, motors, center pivot systems, subsurface drip systems, Dragon-line Drip irrigation on Center pivots systems, valves, solenoids, and automatic controllers.
• Design and Installation: Oversee the design, installation, and operation management of irrigation and drainage systems.
• Team Supervision: Supervise and assign daily activities to employees, ensuring effective and efficient job progression and inspection processes.
• Parts Inventory: Maintain a cost-effective spare parts inventory level, minimizing downtime by ensuring the accurate and sufficient stocking of parts.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with municipal watering standards and adhere to best industry practices in irrigation system maintenance and operation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in irrigation system management and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of various irrigation systems and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to schedule, supervise, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of local watering regulations and industry standards.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
