Irrigation Engineer

PTWL is seeking an experienced Irrigation Engineer to oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and supervision of irrigation systems for landscaping projects. The role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating with clients and project managers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high-quality and efficient irrigation operations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Supervision

• Schedule, supervise, and delegate tasks for irrigation technicians and team members
• Assign daily activities and monitor progress to ensure effective and efficient work
• Supervise system installations, start-ups, walkthroughs, troubleshooting, field repairs, and winterization routes
• Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance schedules for irrigation systems

Training & Development

• Manage and oversee irrigation training programs for the team to ensure adherence to best practices and industry updates

System Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor irrigation systems, identify issues, and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Oversee the design, installation, and operation of irrigation and drainage systems, including drip, bubbler, sprinkler, center pivot, subsurface drip, Dragon-line drip systems, pumps, motors, valves, solenoids, and automatic controllers

Client Coordination

• Work closely with Operations Manager and Project Managers to understand client needs and project objectives
• Implement weekly objectives and daily schedules aligned with client requirements

Inventory & Resource Management

• Track purchase orders, maintain inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock of parts and materials
• Maintain a cost-effective spare parts inventory to minimize downtime

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all irrigation work meets company quality standards and project timelines
• Ensure compliance with municipal watering standards and industry best practices

Documentation & Reporting

• Manage technicians’ paperwork, timesheets, and billing documentation accurately
• Maintain records of maintenance, system performance, and corrective actions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in irrigation system management and supervision
• Strong knowledge of various irrigation systems, equipment, and technologies
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to schedule, supervise, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement processes
• Knowledge of local watering regulations and industry standards
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Valid UAE Driving License and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
