IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: Responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all the property’s irrigation systems.

Duties and Responsibilities: Manages and maintains irrigation systems; including, but not limited to:

• Irrigation controller(s);
• Irrigation plumbing;
• Irrigation wiring;
• Sprinkler systems;
• Irrigation systems in greenhouses; and
• Irrigation systems in shade houses.

· Other duties assigned by supervisor relating to the property’s irrigation systems.

· Performs general maintenance work and tasks on the property.

Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Must have in-depth experience with various irrigation systems.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Stand and walk up to eight hours per day on concrete surfaces.
• Physically carry and transport items up to eight hours a day.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transport in excess of twenty pounds frequently and repetitively for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in excess of twenty pounds.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone and in-person.
• Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
• Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
• Must be able to work in cramped spaces, and heights of more than ten feet.
• Good attendance and punctuality is necessary.
• Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company’s image of excellence.
• Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
