Position Overview

Retain It Landscaping is seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial irrigation systems including pipe, heads, valves, and controllers
• Read and interpret irrigation plans and layouts
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems, leaks, broken heads, valves, and wiring issues
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers and timers
• Perform irrigation system testing and system start-ups
• Assist with winterization and seasonal system maintenance
• Ensure irrigation systems are installed according to project specifications and company standards
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Communicate with crew leaders and project managers regarding project progress
• Follow all company safety procedures

Qualification

• Previous irrigation installation or repair experience preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation components including pipe, valves, heads, controllers, and wiring
• Ability to read irrigation plans and layouts
• Ability to troubleshoot irrigation system issues
• Ability to operate tools and equipment used in irrigation installation
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, and lifting
• Ability to work long hours outdoors

Work Schedule

Typical work hours are 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, depending on project schedules and weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
