Irrigation Technician Level II – Job Summary
The Irrigation Technician Level II demonstrates strong working knowledge of irrigation systems and is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial irrigation systems. This role works independently in the field, identifies system issues, and performs repairs to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex irrigation systems, including two-wire systems.
• Troubleshoot valves, controllers, wiring, hydraulic issues, and zone failures.
• Conduct detailed system inspections and identify performance problems.
• Document findings and recommend repairs, upgrades, or system improvements to clients.
• Perform repairs using proper irrigation tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret irrigation plans, site maps, and system layouts.
• Ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently and in accordance with company standards.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, inspecting, and repairing irrigation systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with irrigation tools and equipment including trenchers, multimeters, wire locators, and pipe sizing tools.
• Ability to read and create site maps and color-coded irrigation charts/legends.
