IS Solution Architect, Reporting & Technology Enablement

Your role and responsibilities :

Lead the reporting and analytics strategy utilizing SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud program, ensuring consistent, governed, and AI-ready data across ERP and connected platforms (CRM, TMS, WMS). This role bridges tactical ERP reporting and strategic analytics (Snowflake, BDC, FP&A) while defining how the business consumes and trusts data in a governed manner. On top of it, we want you to help us design and build the "Overlayer" (using SAP Datasphere or other tools) that decouples business logic from raw ERP tables, ensuring that downstream analytics (Snowflake, AI Agents) consume governed, "apples-to-apples" data regardless of the source system for our legacy SAP ECC-based environment.

This role is contributing to the ABB Installation Products Division of the Electrification Business Area.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Shaping the SAP Reporting Architecture: Leading the strategy for the SAP Datasphere and SAC layer.

• You define how the business consumes operational data directly from the ERP, creating a "single source of truth" for the S/4 Public Cloud and legacy ECC environments.

• Bridging ERP and Enterprise Analytics: Acting as the integration architect who enables data exchange between our SAP core and the corporate data platforms (Snowflake, FP&A).

• You do not manage the Snowflake environment; instead, you ensure that SAP data is structured, clean, and accessible so the central data team can ingest it smoothly.

• Defining the Governance Framework: Building the central reporting catalog and ownership structure. You establish the "Decision Tree" that guides the business on when to use tactical ERP reporting (Datasphere) versus when to turn to the strategic enterprise lake (Snowflake).

• AI and Data Enablement: Defining and documenting the data accessibility models for the SAP landscape. You ensure that our ERP data is not just "human-readable" on dashboards but is also technically prepared for AI agents and automation layers to utilize.

Qualifications for the role :

• 8–12 years in analytics & reporting, specifically in a data architecture & integration role with at least one full S4 implementation experience

• You are a Modeler, not a Report Developer. You think in "Semantic Layers" and "reusability," not just "Dashboards."

• Deep expertise in SAP Datasphere, SAC, S/4HANA or ECC embedded analytics, CDS views, and Fiori.

• Experience with data warehouses/lakehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery).

• Background in data governance and meta data management.

• Understanding of AI/ML data models and semantic data design, specifically data enablement of such capabilities.

• Expert-level hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (formerly DWC) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

• Strong proficiency in Snowflake data modeling and SQL. You must speak both "SAP" (CDS Views, Extractors) and "Cloud Native" languages.

• Reports to VP IT – Business Applications; dotted line to S/4 Program Lead. Works with Corporate Reporting, FP&A, Finance, Operations, and Enterprise Architecture.
