Primary objective:
The iSAMS System Specialist will oversee the management, configuration, and support of the iSAMS MIS platform across the school. The role ensures smooth operations, provides staff training, and maximizes the platform’s capabilities to support teaching, learning, and administration.
Areas of responsibility:

Administer, configure, and maintain the iSAMS Management Information System (MIS) and all associated modules.

Oversee system updates, backups, and ensure the integrity and reliability of all iSAMS data.

Manage integration between iSAMS and third-party systems (e.g., finance, HR, safeguarding, learning platforms).

Create and manage user accounts, roles, and access permissions in line with school policies.

Monitor and audit system usage to ensure compliance with data protection (GDPR) and information security standards.

Implement best practices for data privacy and user access control.

Act as the primary point of contact between the school and iSAMS Support, escalating and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Liaise with IT, academic, and administrative teams to align system functionality with school operations.

Provide day-to-day technical and functional support to all iSAMS users.

Manage data imports, exports, and validation to maintain high data accuracy and consistency.

Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics for senior leadership and department heads.

Support the school’s strategic planning and decision-making through accurate data analysis and insights.

Design and deliver training sessions and user guides for new and existing staff to ensure confident use of iSAMS modules.

Promote best practices in data entry, reporting, and system usage across the school.

Stay updated with new iSAMS features and industry developments to enhance system usage.

Review and optimize school workflows within iSAMS to improve operational efficiency.

Collaborate with leadership to implement new modules or functionality supporting school objectives.

Contribute to strategic data initiatives and the long-term development of the school’s digital systems.

Undertake additional duties as and when required by the line manager.
Safeguarding:
The post holder will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. They will directly support the designated safeguarding lead as a priority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at the school.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Education Technology, or any related field.
Experience:

+5 years experience working with iSAMS or similar MIS in a school setting.

Strong understanding of data protection and privacy in an educational environment.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Experience with modules such as Timetables, Reporting, Behavior, and Exams

Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, or other data reporting tools

Understanding of integrations (e.g., API with classlink, with VLEs, portals, or finance systems and others.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details.
