Role Overview
We are seeking an Islamic Studies Teacher to deliver Islamic Studies across a wide age range (approximately ages 3-16) in a small, diverse, and multilingual school community. This role requires a high level of flexibility, differentiation, and curriculum planning, as classes are multigrade and include both Arabic and non Arabic speakers within the same group.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the development of Islamic Studies in a new international school context, ensuring alignment with the Saudi national curriculum while working within the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Islamic Studies to students from Early Years through Secondary inmultigrade classes, with separate planning to meet ageappropriate objectives.
- Deliver lessons effectively toboth native and nonnative Arabic speakers, managing different levels of Arabic and English proficiency within the same class.
- Plan and assess learning to meet the requirements of theSaudi national curriculum, while aligning with the school's IB framework andlearnercentredapproach.
- UseArabic and Englishas appropriate to ensure access, understanding, and inclusion for all students.
- Take a leading role in theorganisationand delivery of Islamic traditions, events, celebrations, and customs, supporting the wider school community.
- Contribute flexibly to other school needs as they evolve in a startup environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Islamic Studies(mandatory).
- Nativelevel Arabicwith ahigh level of English; ability to teach bilingually is essential.
- Comfortable teaching students fromages 3 to 16.
- Proven ability (or strong potential) todifferentiate effectivelyfor mixedage and mixedlanguage classes.
- Willingness and confidence to work in anew, evolving school, with changing student numbers and structures.
- Saudinationalitystronglypreferred.
- Ability to also teachArabic languageis highly valued and will provide additional flexibility.

Starting salary
140.000 SAR / Year
Final salaryis based onrelevant qualifications and experience. Accommodation is also provided asan additional benefit and included for staff at no additional cost.
