Job opening for a qualified Islamic Teacher to join Nibras International School in August 2026. Job Purpose
  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.

  • Promote positive progress and outcomes through accountability, awareness of pupil capabilities and prior knowledge, and guidance to reflect on progress.
  • Demonstrate subject and curriculum knowledge, fostering interest, addressing misunderstandings, and keeping up with developments.
  • Use Standard English consistently, and when teaching early reading or mathematics, demonstrate clear understanding of synthetic phonics or appropriate strategies.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons that impart knowledge, promote curiosity, assign homework when appropriate, and reflect on effectiveness.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs, high ability, EAL, and disabilities.
  • Use formative and summative assessment, provide feedback, and manage behaviour with clear rules, routines, and a fair disciplinary framework.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when necessary.

  • Engage and motivate students to exceed expectations.
  • Use excellent subject knowledge, pedagogic and interpersonal skills to inspire students.

  • Plan lessons tailored to individual learning needs and styles.

  • Maintain professional relationships and contribute to school improvement.
  • Plan and deliver enriching curricular programmes and activities.
  • Co operate with colleagues on fair disciplinary practices and safeguarding, protecting students from all abuse.
  • Communicate professionally with parents about attainment and progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality with parents and external parties.
  • Model good academic practice and contribute to department meetings.
  • Support after school activities and community partnerships.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as reasonably requested.
Teaching
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work and complete planning documentation.
  • Teach consistently and effectively, considering all students' educational needs.
  • Assign and grade work for school, online, and home contexts.
  • Promote students' intellectual, moral, spiritual, cultural, physical and personal development, offering guidance on educational and social matters.
  • Record and report on personal and social needs.
  • Participate in whole school development and share best practice.
Assessment, Recording and Reporting
  • Assess, record and report on students' development, progress and attainment.
  • Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references.
  • Guide students to set targets and give regular feedback to support improvement.
Continuing Professional Development
  • Review teaching methods and programmes of work regularly.
  • Take proactive responsibility for personal development.
  • Participate in further training and professional development activities.
Curriculum Development
  • Advise and collaborate with the Principal and colleagues on course preparation, teaching materials, schemes, and assessment.
  • Take responsibility for specific subjects.
  • Embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies.

Experience: 2 years of school based teaching experience.

Competencies:

  • Outstanding performance and teaching experience in American/International schools.
  • Strong knowledge of international/American curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent personal skills.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management.
