Bobae Coffee & Tea is an inventive beverage cafe and the first shop recognized for serving nitro-infused teas. The menu highlights originality through the use of fresh ingredients, locally sourced milk, farm-to-straw tea offerings, and a rotating selection of limited monthly creations. This Position and Expectation:

This position will start as a back-of-house trainee, with the goal of becoming an On Bar barista within 90 days. Compensation and benefits will vary based on role and hours. At Bobae, regardless of prior experience, we believe everyone should start from the ground up to fully understand the responsibilities, work environment, and culture of Bobae.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Be an expert on Bobae’ menu with the ability to learn new drinks as needed
• Willingness to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift, as assigned by manager
• Make high quality drinks with integrity
• Customer-centric approach with the power of remembering regulars’ drinks and names
• Follow guidelines regarding cleanliness and safety daily
• Keep all product and food products fully stocked
• Willingness and ability to attend all mandated training and on-going continued education to advance in Bobae’s job category
• Being able to learn fast and execute well in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-tasks and excel
• Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to Bobae’s standard
• Live and apply the company’s culture - such as honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Bobae in your day-to-day action
• Excellent work ethics-friendly, proactive, on-time, courteous, punctural, team-player, honesty, and integrity

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age
• Open availability, including weekends (we are currently not hiring seasonal employees)
• Having coffee/tea experience is not required, but is a plus. Willing to train the right person.
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality
• Reliable means of getting to and from work
• Food Handler Certification required before starting
• Ability to learn quickly, and perform with excellent
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to build relationships
• Proactivity

The location of this role is in our Bobae store, where you may be in close proximity with other Baristas and co-workers. You may be on your feet for up to 10 hours a day and required to walk, bend, reach and twist to perform your duties. This role also requires the ability to lift and move up to 40+ pounds.
