The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures the optimal functioning of networks, servers, databases, and cybersecurity protocols while providing advanced support to users. The position supports both strategic and operational IT needs of the engineering office, contributing to secure, efficient, and uninterrupted IT services.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)VMware Certified Professional (VCP)ITIL v4 FoundationCompTIA Security+ or equivalent (advantage for cybersecurity-related tasks)
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in IT administration or systems/network support
  • Experience with managing IT infrastructure in engineering, technical, or private office environments
  • Proven track record in managing Windows Servers, Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Experience in server virtualization, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning

JOB DESCRIPTION

Systems Administration

  • Expertise in Windows Server environments, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Experience in virtual environments using VMware or Hyper-V

Network Administration

  • Proficient in managing firewalls, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi access points
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation
  • Monitor network performance and implement necessary optimizations

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor endpoint protection, antivirus, and firewall policies
  • Maintain cybersecurity standards in line with company policies
  • Conduct regular security audits and manage user access rights

Backup & Recovery

  • Configure and manage backup solutions for servers and workstations
  • Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Helpdesk & Technical Support

  • Provide escalation support for complex IT issues unresolved by helpdesk team
  • Maintain user satisfaction through timely issue resolution and proactive service

Asset Management & Procurement

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and warranty details
  • Coordinate procurement and upgrades of hardware/software as needed

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive data and systems
