Job Title: IT Administrator
Job Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, network reliability, and smooth day-to-day operations. This role supports users, servers, networks, and applications to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem & Server Management
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and permissions
- Monitor system performance and apply updates, patches, and upgrades
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing
Network Administration
- Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network security and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Ensure secure access to systems (VPN, firewall rules, access controls)
Virtualization & Cloud
- Manage virtual machines using VMware / Hyper-V
- Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and resource usage
- Support basic cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar)
Security & Compliance
- Implement IT security policies and best practices
- Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and access controls
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data protection standards
User Support & Helpdesk
- Provide technical support to end users (hardware, software, email, printers)
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Software & Hardware Management
- Install and maintain operating systems, applications, and updates
- Manage licenses for software and hardware
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and purchases
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5 years experience in IT administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking
- Experience with VMware / Virtualization technologies
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange
- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- IT certifications (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, VMware)
Working Conditions
- Full-time position
- May require after-hours support during emergencies
- Office-based with occasional remote support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From KD300.000 per month
