IT Administrator

Role Overview

The IT Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, network reliability, and smooth day-to-day operations. Provide technical support and ensure smooth operations of software, hardware, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and monitor IT systems and networks, install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.

· Install and maintain operating systems, applications, and updates

· Manage licenses for software and hardware

· Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and purchases

· Manage active directory, user accounts, group policies, and permissions

· Monitor system performance and apply updates, patches, and upgrades

· Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing

· Provide technical support to end users (hardware, software, email, printers)

· Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner

· Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation

· Implement IT security policies and best practices

· Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and access controls

· Monitor and respond to security incidents

· Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data protection standards

· Assist in the deployment of new technologies

· Provide support for software, hardware, and network-related issues.

· Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls

· Monitor network security and troubleshoot connectivity issues

· Ensure secure access to systems (VPN, firewall rules, access controls)

· Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and resource usage

· Support basic cloud services

· Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and connectivity problems.

· Monitor and maintain network performance.

· Assist users with IT-related queries and technical issues in a timely manner.

· Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks. communicate with software support team and resolve the software issues.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field

· IT certifications (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA)

· 2–5 years experience in IT administration

· Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking

· Experience with virtualization technologies

· Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices

· Good troubleshooting and communication skills

· Experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange

· Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery
