Caterpillar Returnship is a 24-week company paid , office -based program designed to enable a soft launch for experienced professionals on a career break. This initiative includes, networking sessions, coaching, trainings and a project / work scope assignment.

What You Will Do:

As an SAP Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing SAP solutions, and implementing functional configurations across one or more SAP modules. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of SAP systems.

  • Customize SAP modules (e.g., SPP, EWM, GTS, CRM, FI) to meet business needs.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.

  • Manage change requests and ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit standards.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for process gaps and system issues.

  • Prepare documentation for new or complex functionalities and share knowledge with the team.

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP applications.

  • Collaborate with business partners to resolve incidents and communicate issue impact and resolution timelines.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech).

  • 3+ years of experience in any of the SAP functional modules such as SPP, EWM, CRM, GTS, FI.

  • Experience with global template implementation and SCM core solutions.

  • Familiarity with SAP transaction codes (T-codes), IDOCs, and legacy/mainframe system integration, CIFs, RFC calls etc.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.

  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA

  • Experience in automation testing tools like HPQC, QTP, and UFT for SAP modules.

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.

  • Compiles current research relevant to standard operating procedures.

  • Explains usage of standard operating procedures in business operations.

  • Describes main issues and considerations when using standard operating procedures.

  • Identifies key features and functions of standard operating procedures.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Reviews others' writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching.

  • Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.

  • Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
