IT Application Analyst

Position - “IT Application Analyst”.

The candidate must have a strong foundation in SAP (MM,WM, Interface monitoring) and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The base location for this candidate would be Pune and responsible for both Pune and BADDI plants.

Although the candidate would be skilled/experienced in SAP ECC and/or MES, we expect this candidate to extend support in managing (Support, changes) other applications as well. This role is critical for maintaining operational stability, troubleshooting issues, and supporting business users to optimize our production and logistics processes

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support & Monitoring:

Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SAP (MM, WM/EWM), FlexNet (MES), and their interfaces.

Proactively monitor system performance, data integrity, and interfaces (e.g., SAP-FlexNet, SAP-SPI) to identify and address potential problems.

Manage and resolve daily operational issues, including stock discrepancies, SAP transaction errors (BD87, CO54, MIGO), and label printing failures.

Provide support for ancillary systems including WISE, EcuNet, and Codesoft label design software.

System & Database Management:

Perform routine database administration and management tasks for SQL databases.

Manage user profiles, licenses, and security settings within SAP and FlexNet.

Participate in system testing (e.g., SAP PTR tests) and support monthly closing activities.

Reporting & Analysis:

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for business stakeholders using PowerBI.

Conduct analysis of system performance and business data to recommend process improvements.

Assist with SAP Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis to ensure compliance.

IT Operations Support:

Provide technical support for shop floor hardware, including workstations, printers, scanners, and scales.

Manage the integration of industrial printing solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

SAP Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on functional experience with SAP MM and WM/EWM modules.

Proven experience in monitoring and troubleshooting SAP interfaces (IDoc, RFC). AND/OR

MES Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting FlexNet or a similar Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL for database queries and management.

Demonstrated experience with BI tools, preferably PowerBI.

Optional : Familiarity with label design software (e.g., Codesoft) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and train non-technical business users.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
