IT Application Support Engineer

Summary

For our growing US Operations we are seeking an IT Application Support engineer to support our operational processes. Our ideal candidate will be a passionate, professional, self-motivated, customer oriented, and stress resistant person who isn’t shy of a challenge. You’ll be part of the WMi support group consisting of 8 people spread across the Netherlands and UK. After internal training in our tools and business processes, you are jointly responsible for providing support to our users and customers. You’ll be the key contact person between our US business and our IT Application support colleagues.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Provide functional and technical support to the users of our Warehouse Management Systems (WMi Manhattan) and its satellite systems.

· Managing and tracking tickets through the ticketing system based on urgency and priority.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with WMS application (Order allocation, stock issues, interfacing, etc..) and responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.

· Assist in implementation of new or changed business processes and systems.

· Structured testing, documenting and reporting of (changed) processes and/or applications.

· Providing technical global support across the company with primary focus on US.

· Investigate problems and configurations of the WMS application and satellite systems.

· Provide end-user training of WMS application.

· Gathering functional requirements.

· Professional, and immediate communication to IT department as well as Operations.

· Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have current experience with computers and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment. Experience with a WMS is a must, preferably Manhattan, WMi/PKMS. Candidate should be proficient in MS Office Suite. SQL and/or database knowledge is a plus. Strong organization and prioritization skills are essential.

Education/Experience:
B.S. in Information Technology and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate has related experience in Application Support and/or Logistics.
Candidate must have strong written and oral skills.

Language Ability:
Fluent in English language written and verbal communication- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
