IT Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Assistant / Network Support professional to provide day-to-day technical support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting users, monitoring network performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of systems and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain network systems, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and coordinate with vendors or ISPs when required.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control (Active Directory, email, systems).
  • Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and updates.
  • Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and asset tracking.
  • Assist in implementing IT policies, security controls, and best practices.
  • Support basic server operations and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and company IT standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or network-related roles.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN).
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
