IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our Technology Delivery team. This role partners with Product Management, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Project Management, and business stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into clearly defined solution requirements. As an IT Business Analyst at Apex, you will bring structure and clarity to evolving ideas, transforming them into actionable requirements and development-ready solutions that drive measurable business impact.

We are a hybrid workplace; for this reason, candidates should live in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

As an IT Business Analyst, you play a key role in the continuous operational improvement and strategic success of Apex. You will partner closely with Product Teams, Technical Teams, and other cross-functional partners to move initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned to business objectives.

You will help reduce ambiguity, clarify requirements, and support the development of solutions that meet stakeholder expectations while enabling scalable system and process improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to identify, elicit, and clarify business needs and translate them into clearly defined and actionable solution requirements.

Translate business needs into clearly defined and development-ready artifacts, including Jira Stories, current and future state workflows, and process maps.

Partner with Product Team members to clarify evolving requirements, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and support alignment throughout development.

Monitor project-related issues, requirement updates, and system enhancements to ensure traceability, prioritization, and successful delivery.

Perform data analysis and support incremental system and process improvements that drive operational efficiency and business value.

Required Experience

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or other IT-focused projects.

Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements for system implementations, software enhancements, integrations, or technical process improvements.

Experience translating business needs into technical specifications through real-time refinement and the creation of artifacts such as user stories, process flows, and supporting documentation.

Hands-on experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, and Monday.com preferred).

Strong analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in Agile, iterative, or predictive project environments.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Experience performing data analysis and reporting. Experience using SQL for data analysis.
