IT Business Analyst (Digital / Retail Banking)

Your new role


  • Requirements Engineering: Conduct workshops and interviews to analyze business needs, clarifying scope, assumptions, and priorities for digital banking journeys.
  • Documentation & Mapping: Create and maintain comprehensive BRDs/FRDs, "As-Is/To-Be" process flows, and traceability matrices to ensure no requirement is lost.
  • Agile Delivery: Convert business needs into well-sliced user stories with clear acceptance criteria, supporting backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Journey Design Collaboration: Partner with UX and Technical teams to provide input on wireframes, screen designs, and non-functional requirements.
  • SIT/UAT Support: Validate test scenarios, assist in defect triage, and clarify requirements to ensure smooth sign-off and release readiness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the bridge between Business, Operations, Risk, and Tech teams to manage dependencies and drive critical decisions.
  • Data Validation: Support reporting needs by defining data fields, mappings, and business validation rules.



What you'll need to succeed


  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within Retail and/or Digital Banking (customer-facing journeys).
  • Technical Domain: Strong understanding of banking journeys such as Onboarding/KYC, Payments, Transfers, and Cards.
  • Agile Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Boards) or JIRA for backlog management and sprint tracking.
  • Analytical Skills: A data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret data and validate outcomes; basic SQL knowledge is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent elicitation and presentation skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across various departments.
  • Location: Candidates must be currently based in the UAE.
  • Bonus Points: Exposure to Open Banking concepts, REST/JSON APIs, or customer authentication journeys (MFA/Biometrics).
