IT Business Applications Analyst II

Job Description Summary

The Healthcare Generative AI Analyst will represent the Millennium Business Unit and is responsible for
assisting the Director of Emerging Technologies developing and implementing AI-driven and other solutions to
improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support clinical decision-making. This is a
unique opportunity to apply data science in a meaningful way that directly impacts public health.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

Responsibilities • Analyze complex healthcare datasets, including EHR, claims, and imaging data, to uncover insights and develop predictive models. • Identify, research and deploy AI algorithms for use in clinical and operational settings (e.g., patient risk stratification, diagnostic support). • Develop NLP solutions to process and extract structured data from unstructured clinical notes. • Collaborate with clinicians, data engineers, and CIT teams to ensure seamless integration of AI tools into healthcare workflows and existing reporting structures. • Effectively elicit, capture, and document user requirements through interviews, workshops, and observation. • Monitor model performance, ensure interpretability, and update models as new data becomes available. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy regulations. • Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports and visualizations. • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or machine learning, preferably in a healthcare setting. • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL. Experience with R a plus. • Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks) • Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Athena) and healthcare terminologies (ICD, CPT, SNOMED). • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and data governance practices. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to nontechnical stakeholders. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project deliverables. • Preferred - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Preferred - Knowledge of clinical workflows or direct experience in a healthcare provider environment. • Preferred - Certification in healthcare analytics or AI (e.g., CHDA, TensorFlow Developer Certificate). • Preferred – Experience with self service reporting and Talk to your Data solutions (e.g. Databricks Genie, Snowflake Cortex Analyst) • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. • A commitment to providing excellent service to internal team members and patients. • High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
