IT Buyer

We are seeking a detail-oriented procurement professional to manage mid- to high-complexity sourcing initiatives, run RFP processes, and oversee the full contract life cycle. This role partners closely with project managers, legal, risk, cybersecurity, and finance teams to deliver cost savings, supplier value, and compliance with internal policies and public-sector procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process sourcing requisitions, determine the best buying channel (RFP, existing contract, informal solicitation, etc.).
• Draft, distribute, and manage Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation and other go-to-market strategies.
• Consolidate requirements to leverage spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct cost/price analysis, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Partner with Legal and stakeholders to draft and execute contracts.
• Administer contracts through their life cycle — change management, performance tracking, renewals, and closeout.
• Resolve issues such as late deliveries, price discrepancies, and invoice exceptions.
• Track and report on savings, diversity spend, and procurement KPIs.
• Maintain positive supplier relationships to ensure optimal service and competitive pricing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• ~3+ years of sourcing and contract management experience (public sector or regulated industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of the procure-to-pay process, RFP strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Experience with ERP procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ariba, Coupa, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with public-sector purchasing rules/regulations.
• Experience driving supplier diversity initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
