General Description:
We are seeking an IT Change Management Lead to join our team. The IT Change Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Firm’s technical change management process. This role ensures that all proposed changes to systems, infrastructure, and applications are reviewed, approved, and implemented in accordance with established procedures and industry standards. The IT Change Management Lead will collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to refine and enforce change control policies aligned with ISO and NIST guidelines. This position plays a critical role in minimizing risk, maintaining system integrity, and ensuring operational continuity across the Firm’s technology landscape. The IT Change Management Lead position is currently a hybrid role with designated days required to be in the office, which may change depending on future needs of the Firm or industry standards.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee the Firm’s technical change management process, including review, approval, and documentation of changes.
  • Establish and refine change control procedures in alignment with ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 standards.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure changes are properly assessed for risk, impact, and compliance.
  • Maintain a centralized change log and ensure audit readiness for internal and external reviews.
  • Facilitate regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on change management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on change management metrics, trends, and compliance levels.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure changes do not introduce vulnerabilities.
  • Continuously improve the change management framework based on feedback, incidents, and industry best practices.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and application lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 frameworks related to change control and risk management.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating change requests and potential impacts.
  • Experience with change management tools and IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
Required Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT change management, governance, or related roles.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
  • Familiarity with legal industry technology environments preferred.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
