Overview
This position takes direction from the IT Assistant Director – End User Support. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the technical needs of the programs that are part of the LSUHSC Off-Campus Instructional Site (OCIS) on the LSU A&M Campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Responsibilities run the gamut from general end-user support, Audio Visual system support, coordination with LSU A&M IT, and application specific support for the LSUHSC OCIS programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-user support for hardware, software, inventory, and ticket management
  • Support Audio Visual systems in coordination with LSU A&M IT and the LSUHSC-NO Enterprise AV Team.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, phone, and network issues
  • Manage workstation/laptop setup, software installation, and system configuration
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation in the LSUHSC ITSM system
  • Assist with data transfers, surplus processing, and technology sanitization
  • Develop and update technical documentation and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • At least five years of relevant IT experience supporting end-user needs
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related IT field
  • Experience working in an academic institution of higher education
  • Advanced ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Basic knowledge of classroom AV technology
