The IT Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to end-users, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s IT systems in line with company policies and local regulations in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Support & Helpdesk
- Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related queries (hardware, software, network, and systems).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Provide remote and on-site support to staff across different departments.
- Log, track, and resolve support tickets within agreed service levels.
2. Systems & Network Coordination
- Assist in monitoring the performance of servers, networks, and internet connectivity.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers/ISPs for network, firewall, and security issues.
- Support user account creation, password resets, and access rights management (e.g., email, ERP, HRMS, shared folders).
- Ensure regular backups are completed and assist with restoration when required.
3. Hardware & Software Management
- Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, iPads, printers, licenses, etc.).
- Coordinate the purchase, setup, deployment, and replacement of IT equipment.
- Ensure all software and systems are properly licensed and updated.
- Assist in setting up new devices with company email, business applications, and security tools.
4. Security & Compliance
- Support implementation of IT security policies (password policy, antivirus, email security, etc.).
- Ensure devices are protected with updated antivirus and security patches.
- Report any security incidents or suspicious activity to the IT Manager/Management.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies regarding data protection and information security.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and network diagrams as directed.
- Prepare regular reports on incidents, asset status, and IT-related issues for management.
- Document user guides and simple manuals for common IT tasks.
6. Projects & Improvements
- Assist in the implementation of new systems, applications, and upgrades (e.g., HRMS, ERP, time attendance, email migration).
- Coordinate with departments to understand their IT needs and escalate to IT Management if required.
- Provide basic training to staff on the use of systems, applications, and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in an IT support / IT coordinator / helpdesk role, preferably in Qatar or GCC.
- Windows OS and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Basic networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
- Printers, scanners, and office hardware.
- Familiarity with ERP/HRMS or healthcare experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
