Position Summary:
The IT Security Analyst role is responsible for the day-to-day support of the IT/Cybersecurity program including supporting all aspects of security monitoring, controls, administration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in computer science with focus in cyber security or equivalent experience in cyber security.
- Two years of experience in IT with specialized work in Cyber Security preferred.
- Experience investigating security events, threats and/or vulnerabilities.
- Experience maintaining antivirus solutions (signature and/or behavioral based).
- Proficiency with the latest intrusion detection platforms; working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems administration (Including AD/GPOs).
- Preferred experience with Information Security frameworks and standards, such as NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012/7019/7020/7021, ISO 27001, ITAR and CMMC.
- Scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Ability to work independently
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Including the following:
- Monitor, manage, and secure UMBRAGROUP US systems and networks.
- Identify, track, and investigate high priority threat campaigns and malicious actors.
- Identify and propose areas for improvement within Cyber Security.
- Manage the UMBRAGROUP US System Security Plans (SSP) and Plan of Actions & Milestones (POAM).
- Conduct detailed security event and risk analysis from network traffic attributes and host-based attributes (binary analysis, etc.) to identify information security incidents.
- Maintain proficiency and expertise with NIST 800-171 controls, ITAR and DFARS regulations and CUI data protection.
- Oversee vulnerability scanning and patch management for UMBRAGROUP US locations.
- Partner with managed SIEM/SOC partner to identify and respond to active security threats.
- Assist with management and oversight of all cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Security oversight of Network Access Control, Data Loss Prevention, Firewalls, MDM, certificates, MFA, Azure/M365 GCC High, KnowBe4, EDR platforms
- Manage CISA alerts and ensure vulnerabilities and zero-day threats are addressed.
- Help manage and update Architecture of a Zero Trust cybersecurity framework.
- Other duties as assigned.
