Job Title: IT Asset Management Specialist I
Location: Hannibal, MO

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

In this role, you’ll manage the lifecycle of IT assets—from procurement to disposal—ensuring accurate records, compliance with policies, and optimal utilization across the organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain our configuration management database (CMDB), conduct audits, and support end-users with asset-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets including hardware, software, licenses, and accessories
Update and manage the CMDB to reflect current asset information
Track IT asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies
Collaborate with IT teams to establish asset tracking and reporting processes
Develop and implement asset tracking workflows
Coordinate with vendors for procurement, licensing, maintenance, and disposal
Monitor asset utilization and recommend optimization strategies
Identify and resolve discrepancies in asset records
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on asset procedures
Stay current with industry best practices and trends in IT asset management
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR 4 years of equivalent experience
Prior experience in IT asset management or a related role preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of IT asset management principles, tools, and processes
Familiarity with ITIL practices and CMDB systems
Proficiency in asset management software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organizational and time management abilities
