IT Engineer – Light Current

Job Summary

The IT Engineer – Light Current is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and low-voltage (ELV) systems. The role integrates networking, security, and smart systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation across projects and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain ELV and IT systems
• Manage and support IP-based systems and network infrastructure
• Supervise installation and commissioning of light current systems on-site
• Configure and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm interfaces, and Security Systems
• Manage servers, switches, routers, and network devices
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards and cybersecurity best practices
• Provide technical support during handover and post-implementation phases.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in IT and/or ELV systems
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching)
• Experience with IP-based security systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic network tools
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
• Experience with ELV vendors (Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, Bosch, Cisco, HP)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals
• Experience in construction, real estate, or data center projects.
