IT Executive

Job Overview:

The individual is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all computer systems, including hardware, software, and networking. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and providing technical support to end-users. The individual is also involved in strategic planning and implementation of IT projects to support the organization's objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

System Administration:

· Manage and maintain all IT systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

· Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and security patches.

· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

· Implement and enforce security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Network Management:

· Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

· Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.

· Monitor network traffic and performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency.

Technical Support:

· Provide technical assistance and support to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.

· Respond to service requests and troubleshoot problems through remote assistance.

· Document and track support tickets to ensure timely resolution and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

· Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data.

· Test backup systems regularly and create disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in the event of system failures or disasters.

· Conduct periodic drills and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of backup and recovery procedures.

IT Project Management:

· Participate in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, such as system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure expansions.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and timeline constraints.

· Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their adoption to enhance organizational efficiency and competitiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Proven experience in system administration, network management, and technical support roles.

· Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, colleagues, and external partners.

· IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

· 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
