IT Helpdesk Technician

One Extra Consulting is looking for a remote IT professional based in the Vancouver, WA area. We are seeking an individual with great technical skills who enjoys working virtually in a professional manner, focusing on the client just as much as the task. Our firm specializes in providing top-tier IT and help desk support for our clients.

This position is remote but will require you to work Mountain and Pacific time hours! Please note this is a 1099 position.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

• Provide remote technical support via phone, email, etc.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, network, and application issues.
• Troubleshoot WAN, LAN, WLAN connectivity.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Support Microsoft Exchange and Operating Systems.
• Document support interactions and resolutions.
• Follow IT support best practices.
• Escalate complex issues.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of customer support experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, WLAN
• Experience supporting networks (routing, switching, wireless)
• Customer service (phone) experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Microsoft Operating Systems
• Solid follow through and task, ticket, assignment ownership
• Pride in work quality
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to learn quickly
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to ask questions or escalate when needed
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Multi-tasking skills.
• Working knowledge of telecom technologies and the OSI layer.

Preferred:

• Microsoft Certifications highly preferred.
• Experience with firewalls (SonicWall, Meraki, FortiNet, Unifi).
• Experience with IP camera and VoIP systems.
• Experience with RMM and PSA systems.
• CompTIA Network+
