This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. The role includes patch management, system monitoring, automation, and ensuring secure and efficient operation of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.

An experienced infrastructure engineer with strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, hybrid connectivity, virtual networking, and systems lifecycle management, including patching and automation tools.
Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and support On-premise and Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines, storage accounts, Azure networking, and resource groups.

Implement and maintain hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure AD Connect, etc.).

Plan and execute system patching, updates, and routine maintenance across cloud and on-premises servers.

Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).

Management and administration of virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi, covering deployment, configuration, and performance optimization of virtual environments.

Monitor performance, availability, and health of Azure and on-prem systems using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.

Administration and management of Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory, including identity synchronization, access controls, and directory services.

Full administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

Ongoing management, maintenance, and support of Windows Server environments from version 2016 to the latest, including patching, role configuration, and performance optimization.

Ensure security compliance by applying policies, role-based access controls, and conditional access in Azure.

Maintain backup and disaster recovery configurations using Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and related tools.

Collaborate with application and security teams to support infrastructure needs for cloud-hosted services.

Maintain technical documentation and contribute to policy and process development.

Coordinate with Microsoft support and vendors for issue resolution and service improvement.
Qualification and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

6–9 years of experience in infrastructure support with at least 3 years in Azure environments.

Strong experience in managing Azure services, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing, NSGs, etc.).

Experience with automation tools, patch management systems (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, Intune), and monitoring dashboards.
Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) – required

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) – preferred

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) – optional

CCNA – preferred

ITIL Foundation – is a plus
Skills and Competencies (minimum two)

Hands-on experience with Azure resource deployment and management.

Strong troubleshooting and patch lifecycle management.

Knowledge of automation scripting using PowerShell or Azure CLI.

Proactive monitoring and incident response skills.

Ability to document and improve infrastructure operations.

Strong communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
