Responsible for designing and optimizing the Enterprise IT infra architecture keeping in mind the digital needs of the company and overall growth including international geographies
Define budgets and ensure procurement is optimally managed
Plans and fulfils resourcing needs to provide end user support services, helpdesk services, Network operations management services, operations management, location management (branches) and factories OT management services
Establishes and grooms a team of core individuals to manage various parts of the operation – IT Operations, End User Support, Network Management, Server and Storage Management, Collaboration Service Management (email, internet, Zoom, VC), Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, OT (factories) Management
Responsible for the identification, evaluation and implementation of new technologies that would contribute to the improvement, efficiency and enhancement of existing systems or technologies
Design and implement scalable and high-availability server architectures keeping in mind present and future needs of the company
Manages the design and setup of IT Infra for new branches/offices/factories
Manages infrastructure hosted on on-prem, Data Center providers and Cloud platforms
Manage and execute various projects related to new technology implementation or upgrading existing infrastructure
Constantly monitors and streamlines the various infrastructure components to ensure optimum and secure performance and required capacity is maintained
Identify, pilot and implement appropriate solutions to enhance data availability/security at both end user and systems level
Participates in identifying, planning and implementing SIF initiatives as required
Guide the applications team on the most optimum server infra including helping them decide on whether it needs to be on-prem or cloud
Identify, pilot and implement suitable solutions to automate IT Service delivery services
Manage vendors involved in IT Service delivery through SLAs; track SLAs on a monthly basis and ensures vendor performance
Maintain high location stability by ensuring location-level infra components are operating at a peak performance and with high-availability
Identify, pilot and implement appropriate solutions to enhance employee collaboration and interactions through suitable secure platforms
Enable remote working capabilities such that employees can work from anywhere without any dependency on offices
Ensures all IT assets are upgraded and patched as per need
Identify and implement appropriate solutions to ensure IT infra and application security including PAM, WAF, ZTA
Ensuring the requisite support systems are in place to ensure high availability and uptime of systems
Defines and execute data archiving/retention strategies
Defines and finalize appropriate financial models with vendors for ongoing development and support activities that are beneficial to the company
Prepare RFPs, identify suitable vendors and execute the RFP process and finalize suitable vendors
Track and manage all software assets and their compliance to various licensing norms, and optimize their usage
Ensure that implemented systems are nurtured till full adoption; make required course corrections affecting usability, functionality and performance to increase system adoption until desired benefits are attained
Define and implement program governance models and conduct the requisite programs to steer projects
Define IT-related policies and procedures to ensure the right practices are being followed and adhered to
Subject IT infra to routine audits and certifications to test the security and availability of the infrastructure and take corrective measures as needed
Prepare and execute business continuity and contingency plans to ensure business continuity
Interact with other project teams to smoothly achieve cross-functional objectives
Ensure that the IT Infra department achieves high internal customer satisfaction scores that are higher than the organization/benchmark index
Manage enterprise level risks and ensure mitigation; interact with enterprise risk management team and ensure enterprise risk register is properly tracked and mitigated
Participate in internal/external audits and ensure compliance
Ensure adherence to company, IT, Security and other relevant policies
Manage and guide security, technical and leadership development of employees
Participate in events and conferences as panelist/speaker and project the company image
