IT Infrastructure Intern

Job Description

• Hardware Support:

- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, scanners, and network devices

- Identify faulty equipment and direct them to the appropriate department

• Software Support:

- Install and update operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic office applications.

- Assist in software license tracking and inventory updates

• Network Management:

- Support local area network (LAN), wireless network (Wi-Fi), and internet connection monitoring

- Learn and perform basic tasks such as IP address management and network device configuration

• Server and System Monitoring:

- Support monitoring and maintenance of servers (file, email, backup, etc.)

- Track and report system resource usage

• User Support (Helpdesk):

- Respond to technical support requests from end-users

- Record support tickets and track resolution progress

• Security and Backup:

- Assist in monitoring antivirus, firewall, and backup systems

- Act in accordance with data security policies

• Inventory Management:

- Maintain and update IT equipment inventory

- Record and label newly acquired hardware

• Documentation:

- Document technical processes and performed tasks regularly

- Assist in preparing user guides or installation documentation

Desired Skills & Experience

• Undergraduate student in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technologies, or related fields
• Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and hardware
• Eager to learn, analytical thinker, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash (Optional)
