POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Intern will support the Information Technology team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving IT systems and infrastructure across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting both end users and critical business systems.
The intern will gain exposure to a variety of IT functions including help desk support, systems administration, and process improvement initiatives, while contributing to a capstone project at the conclusion of the internship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:

Provide day-to-day technical support to end users, including hardware, software, and network-related issues

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (user account setup, equipment provisioning, access management)

Support maintenance and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings across systems

Support IT projects related to system upgrades, implementations, or process improvements

Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business technology needs

Assist with monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

Complete a capstone project and present findings and recommendations to leadership
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure

Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite

Education:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience:

Previous coursework, projects, or internship experience in IT or technical support preferred but not required
