Job description:
Department to carry out hardware and software support activities for the company. This role has the opportunity undertake a growth path aimed at managing projects related to the improvement of ICT technologies in the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level hardware and software support to internal users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and network connectivity.
- Assist in planning and executing ICT improvement projects across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and implement solutions.
- Evaluate and deploy new software and hardware solutions to enhance business operations.
- Document project requirements, timelines, and outcomes for internal reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions.
· Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies and best practices, with a continuous improvement mindset that identifies opportunities to refine processes and standards.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to the automotive and motorsport industry.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by integrating innovative ICT tools.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on new systems and technologies.
- Coordination of technology efforts with Italy
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualification
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field; relevant coursework or academic projects will be considered in place of experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, office applications, and email tools.
- Foundational understanding of computer hardware and software concepts.
- Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) through coursework, labs, or personal projects.
- Basic knowledge of network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Understanding of network architectures, including WAN, LAN, and VPN.
- Interest or introductory experience with Microsoft Online services (e.g., Microsoft 365).
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and independent follow‑through in assigned tasks while seeking clarity or guidance when appropriate.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Aptitude for problem analysis and troubleshooting, with a desire to learn and grow.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch. Constant standing throughout the shift is required.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is part‑time during the academic year and full‑time over the summer. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
