Summary of Position:
The Student Assistant for Inventory provides essential support in the management of inventory, receiving and processing deliveries, distributing parts and supplies, and assisting with proper disposal procedures. This role helps ensure efficient operations, accurate tracking of IT assets. It is key that the person in this role has attention to detail, strong skills with numbers and helps keep a well-organized workspace.
Position Requirements:
Preferably a freshman or sophomore who has interest in working summer hours in addition to the regular school year
Hours of operation are M-F 8am to 5pm
As an individual who is responsible for driving on behalf of the university, a driving record check will be run pursuant to university policies. The individual will be required to sign an authorization to run a criminal history background and driving record check.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbsEssential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receiving of purchase requisition orders as well as shipping of return packages
- Transport computer hardware/software to support areas
- Check in and out hardware and equipment
- Organize stock room
- Drive University inventory vehicles for delivery and pick up of equipment - this includes the possibility of travel to satellite locations using university vehicles
