About the role

We are seeking a proactive IT Engineer to join our team, focusing on DevOps and infrastructure support. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our core IT infrastructure, while also assisting in the implementation of automation and cloud-native DevOps practices. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about both system reliability and process automation, and who thrives on tackling a diverse range of technical challenges.

What you will do

• Infrastructure Management & Support:
• • Provide essential support for our on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Maintain and manage network services, ensuring the reliability of wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Manage our windows Active Directory environment, including user and group configurations.
  • Support the implementation and management of virtual machines and containerization platforms for various projects.
  • Handle system requests initiated by users
• DevOps and Automation:
• • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., using Python and JavaScript) to streamline IT tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support software deployment and configuration management.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Manage application deployments using Helm charts and a GitOps approach with ArgoCD.
• Cloud Infrastructure (GCP):
• • Provision and manage cloud resources on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Terraform.
  • Gain experience with a variety of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, and VPC.
• Security and Compliance:
• • Implement and enforce security measures to protect our infrastructure and data, in line with ISO27001:2022 guidelines.
  • Assist in security audits and contribute to our overall security posture.

Who you are

• Technical Skills & Experience:
• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
  • Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python and JavaScript) for automation tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Basic knowledge of Helm and ArgoCD for application deployment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows).
• Soft Skills:
• • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is required; French is a plus.
