IT Manager

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient IT Manager to lead our IT operations and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day IT services, oversee systems and network administration, drive infrastructure improvements, and partner with business stakeholders to enable secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise across on-premises and cloud environments, proven project management skills, and a focus on service delivery, security, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities - IT Operations, Infrastructure & Service Delivery

  • Lead and manage IT operations including systems administration, network engineering, endpoint management, and help desk/service desk functions to ensure high availability and excellent user experience.

  • Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and backup/recovery solutions.

  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards covering configuration management, change control, incident management, problem management, and asset lifecycle.

  • Manage security and compliance initiatives in collaboration with security and privacy teams, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, access controls, encryption, and monitoring.

  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring/observability, and performance tuning to improve resilience, reduce manual work, and optimize costs.

  • Own vendor and third-party relationships for hardware, software, cloud services, and support contracts; evaluate and negotiate contracts and service-level agreements.

  • Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts using effective project management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Provide technical mentorship and professional development for IT staff; recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.

  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans; lead incident response and post-incident reviews to reduce recurrence and improve operational readiness.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand technology needs, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing IT operations or infrastructure teams.

  • Hands-on experience managing servers, storage, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), networking (routing, switching, firewalls), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Demonstrated experience with IT service management practices (ITIL-aligned), incident/change/problem management, and service desk operations.

  • Strong understanding of security best practices, identity and access management (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD), endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.

  • Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and logging solutions.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills; ability to balance operational priorities with strategic initiatives.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture.

Preferred Qualifications - Tools, Certifications & Domain Experience

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Engineer, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, or similar are a plus.

  • Experience in SaaS or fast-growing technology environments, supporting distributed or hybrid workforces, and managing remote/partnered IT teams.

  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf), identity federation, SSO, and modern collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).

  • Prior experience managing cloud migrations, network redesigns, or major technology consolidation programs is advantageous.
