IT Manager Business Partnering

Job Purpose

The jobholder will act as a strategic liaison between IT and business stakeholders, managing enterprise projects while building strong partnerships across business units. By leveraging agile methodologies, they will drive continuous improvement in project delivery, prioritize initiatives based on business impact, and ensure effective communication of progress and performance metrics. This role focuses on aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering collaboration to maximize value and operational efficiency.

Key Results Area

Serve as a trusted advisor on IT-related matters and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify their needs and ensure that the proposed IT initiatives support business goals.
Act as a strategic liaison between IT and the business by identifying key stakeholders, leading the collection and analysis of business requirements, and ensuring IT initiatives are aligned with business priorities.
Develop, maintain, and communicate IT roadmaps aligned with business priorities, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and technical feasibility assessments.
Implement and manage IT governance structures that define roles, responsibilities and processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective project oversight.
Foster a positive culture by promoting collaboration, mentoring team members and removing organizational barriers to ensure consistent delivery across the business.
Execute projects in Agile/SAFE methodologies, ensuring timely sprint demos, scrum meetings, CI/CD pipelines, and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) accelerating project timelines, improving the quality of deliverables, and ultimately supporting business needs more efficiently.
Monitor and manage contractor KPIs and maintain effective communication with internal and external teams to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Facilitate the end-to-end process of developing, installing and maintaining business-critical applications while coordinating with relevant teams to monitor application design, development and performance against established SLAs.
Collaborate with IT project teams to keep business stakeholders informed on project progress, performance metrics, and resource utilization to optimize throughput and responsiveness.

Education Qualification

a) Bachelor*s or master*s degree in computer science or Equivalent

Work Experience

a) Minimum 7 years of experience as Technical Manager with proven experience in effectively managing stakeholder expectations.

b) Experience in architecting and/or coding solution experience.

c) Should have developed 5 to 7 in-house applications with end-to-end experience until deployment.

Skills and Activities

a) Proven experience in IT project management, Agile, business analysis, or a similar role.

b) Strong understanding of IT roadmaps, project management methodologies, and strategic planning.

c) Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager.

d) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders.

e) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.

f) Experience in risk management and continuous improvement practices.

g) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

h) Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

i) Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
