We're hiring for IT Manager (IT Professional)—Onsite in Lahore with a PKR salary.
Client Company Introduction:Our client company is a fast-growing accounting firm provide bookkeeping, CFO services, tax services and financial technology implementation to top-notch services.
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior IT Professional to oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, security, and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, implementing best practices, leading IT initiatives, and supporting business continuity through efficient technology management.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Infrastructure & Network Management
- Oversee and manage end-to-end network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, switching, and routing.
- Handle physical layer hardware, including servers, switches, firewalls, and structured cabling.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IP routing, VLANs, and network security policies.
- Manage and optimize proxy servers and internet routing for region-based access.
- Design and implement bandwidth management policies and speed limit queues.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability with minimal downtime.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including Group Policy (GPO) management and shared folder/drive quota management.
2.Client & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with overseas clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions
- Act as a technical point of contact for international clients, providing support, updates, and resolution of IT-related queries.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational standards.(It can be a plus point if someone has already done this but if not then he can also learn under the system with time, but communication has to be top notch for this work.)
3.Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and endpoint security.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing when required.
- Monitor logs, incidents, and ensure timely resolution of security threats.
4.Cloud & Server Management
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and security.
- Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), and user lifecycle management.
- Maintain and optimize local VPN access for secure remote connectivity.
- Ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Software & License Management
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses and ensure compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
- Liaise with vendors and support teams for issue resolution and escalations.
5.System Monitoring & Audits
- Conduct bi-monthly system audits (start and mid-month) covering asset condition, allocation, and system compliance.
- Maintain documentation of all IT assets and configurations.
- Generate reports on system health, usage, and improvement areas.
6.ISP & Connectivity Management
- Manage relationships with ISPs (e.g., Multinet, Wateen).
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate to providers when required.
- Specific routes optimization with ISP’s
- Ensure redundancy and failover mechanisms for uninterrupted connectivity.
7.User & IT Operations Management
a)Onboarding:
- Oversee system allocation, email/account creation (Microsoft 365), and access provisioning.
- Ensure smooth onboarding with proper IT setup and orientation.
b).Offboarding:
- Ensure secure revocation of access, data backup, and asset recovery.
- Maintain compliance with security and audit requirements.
- Attendance & Reporting Systems
- Manage and maintain attendance systems.
- Ensure accurate reporting of employee attendance, late arrivals, and holidays.
8.IT Ticketing System
- Manage and maintain Ticketing system locally created on OS ticket.
- Make sure ticket must be created and issue has been resolved promptly to avoid any time waste.
- Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise and guide junior IT staff.
- Ensure tasks are executed with proper approvals and processes.
- Provide technical escalation support for complex issues.
- Drive process improvements and enforce IT best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance practices.
- Experience with proxy servers, VPNs, and bandwidth management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in ISO 27001 or SOC 2 environments.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or AWS certifications are a plus.
- Hands on with Mikrotik and PFsense firewalls.
