IT Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Officer to manage, maintain, and improve our organization's IT infrastructure. The IT Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, networks, and security systems while providing technical support to staff and ensuring data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks (LAN/WAN).
• Respond to technical support requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults.
• Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
• Maintain data backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure security through firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets (hardware, software licenses, etc.).
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems management, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Knowledge of IT security protocols and practices.
• Ability to diagnose and solve hardware/software/network issues.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
