IT Pre-Sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Pre-Sales Engineer to support our sales team in delivering innovative IT solutions to clients across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in solution design, technical consulting, and client engagement, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Design

· Analyze client requirements and translate them into ELV, ICT, and Data Center technical solutions.

· Design end-to-end solutions covering.

· ELV Systems: CCTV, Access Control, SMATV/IPTV, PA/BGM, Structured Cabling, Intercom, VMS

· ICT Systems: Network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Cybersecurity

· Data Centers: Racks, Power (UPS, PDU), Cooling, Containment, Structured Cabling, DCIM

· Prepare conceptual, low-level, and high-level designs (HLD/LLD).

2. BOQ, Costing & Commercial Support

· Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and pricing models.

· Work closely with sales to ensure technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.

· Support value engineering without compromising compliance and performance.

3. Tendering & Compliance

· Study RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents.

· Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, method statements, and scope clarifications.

· Ensure compliance with:

· Local authorities (ADMCC, Civil Defense, Etisalat/Du)

· International standards (TIA, BICSI, ISO, Uptime Institute)

4. Vendor & OEM Coordination

· Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for:

· Technical submittals

· Design validations

· Pricing and lead times

· Evaluate new technologies and recommend best-fit products.

· Support PoCs, demos, and product presentations.

5. Client Interaction & Presentations

· Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site surveys.

· Deliver solution presentations and technical clarifications.

· Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales stages.

6. Documentation & Submittals

· Prepare and review:

· Technical datasheets

· Drawings (AutoCAD / Visio)

· Network diagrams and rack layouts

· Support pre-qualification and approval processes

7. Handover to Delivery Team

· Provide complete technical handover to project / execution teams after order confirmation.

· Support post-award clarifications and design finalization if required.

8. Market & Technology Awareness

· Stay updated on ELV, ICT, and Data Center technology trends.

· Provide inputs for new solutions, bundles, and service offerings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

3–5 years of UAE experience in a similar presales or solution engineering role in the IT industry.

Strong technical knowledge in one or more of the following:

Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

Networking and security (firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN)

Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

Enterprise software (ERP, CRM)

Data center solutions

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

UAE driving license
