What You'll Get To Do:

The Principal Data Architect designs and manages the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security.

• Designing and Implementing Data Architecture: Create blueprints for how data is stored, managed, and accessed within the organization.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models that represent the structure and relationships of data. Establish and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Data Integration: Design and implement solutions for integrating data from various sources, including internal and external systems.
• Data Security and Privacy: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data through appropriate security measures.
• Collaboration: Work with various teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers, to understand data requirements and implement data solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data systems to ensure efficient data access and processing.
• Data Quality Management: Implement strategies and processes to maintain high data quality.

Scope:

• Reports to Group Manager of Data and Analytics
• Collaborates with other IT personnel, business stakeholders, and end users
• Manages own time
• Uses experience and skills to assist other department members
• Meets targets assigned

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
• Work experience: 8+ years as a Cloud Solutions Architect or Data Architect
• Knowledge of data governance and security principles.
• Deep knowledge of Azure data tools and OpenAI.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques.

Other Requirements:

• Remote role
• Must be available for occasional on-call support as required
• This position will require travel as needed, but less than 10%
