The Information Technology (IT) Project Assistant will serve as coordinator to the Digital Technology Services (DTS) Project Management Office (PMO) department at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Responsible for educating new PMO team members and applicable DTS leaders on the PMO methodology, ensuring compliance to the methodology and creating monthly metrics to monitor PMO outcomes.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Information Technology (IT) Project Assistant at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
  • Understand the PMO methodology and monitor for adherence.
  • Develop monthly PMO metrics scorecard.
  • Lead process improvement efforts for PMO methodology.
  • Train and support PMO team members and applicable DTS leaders on PPM tools and PMO methodology.
  • Support, Manage and troubleshoot issues with PPM tools.
  • Prepare and facilitate PMO meetings.
  • Assist the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes.
  • Manage/build relationships across DTS and with key organizational stakeholders/teams (i.e. IMO, strategy office, etc.).
  • Analyze project data and produce progress reports.
  • Coordinate small projects as requested.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in an administrative or professional setting, preferably within health care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Process oriented thinker, ability to lead process improvement conversations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of PMO processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, independent thinker, self-motivated and adaptable to continuous change.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Healthcare experience, a plus.
  • Project Management experience, a plus.
  • Service Now and Asana experience, a plus.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification.
