Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager

Duration: 5+ months

Work Location: Austin, TX 78751. Hybrid/ Onsite

Mode of Interview: In person Interview

Candidate will be required to be on site 3 days per week, but this is subject to change and could increase to 5 days per week in the future.

Job description:

8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization or Scrum Master a plus.Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by managing a project which will enhance the system to expand the reporting available to program area users. Contractor will manage a vendor software development team and coordinate with the in-house software team, and collaborate with the program area to keep them informed and involved as appropriate. Contractor will manage the schedule, budget and scope for this project.

Must have:

• 8+ years of experience in Project Management.
• 8+ years of experience managing enterprise-scale data management projects.
• 8+ years of experience managing Agile projects within state or federal government agencies, or similar public-sector environments.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Micro Focus Project Management, and related systems.
• 8+ years of experience developing Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF) deliverables and managing projects in alignment with this framework (strongly preferred).
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certified with 1+ year of credentialed experience.
• 1+ year of experience holding Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related credentials.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
