JD For IT Security Engineer

· Security Architecture & Design:

Design, implement, and maintain secure systems, Firewalls, networks, Endpoints and applications to protect against threats.

· Vulnerability Management:

Conduct & Assist security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and make recommendations for remediation.

· Threat Monitoring:

Monitor network activity and security logs for suspicious behavior and investigate potential security breaches.

· Incident Response:

Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

· Security Policy & Compliance:

Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

· Security Awareness:

Contribute to and deliver security awareness training to employees.

· Security Management:

Evaluate and optimize various security technologies, such as firewalls and endpoint security.

Required Skills & Experience

· Technical Proficiency:

Deep knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, EDR and security protocols.

· Problem-Solving Abilities:

Proven ability to solve technical challenges related to system vulnerabilities and security incidents.

· Communication Skills:

Ability to document security findings, procedures, and to educate staff on security best practices.

· Proactive Approach:

A commitment to proactively identifying and mitigating risks, rather than just reacting to incidents.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

· Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

· 3 to 5 years of experience in network security, system administration, and security incident response is often expected.
