IT Supply Chain and Finance Lead

Responsibilities & Duties:

The IT Supply Chain and Finance role delivers and supports the business’s Supply Chain and Finance technology product portfolio and roadmap. This position works at the intersection of business and technology to define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives and challenges with hands-on contribution to technology solutions, extending into development execution, value realization, and ongoing product management.

The role also participates in setting the strategic direction for Supply Chain and Finance technology applications, as well as executing relevant IT deliverables and digital capabilities in close collaboration with internal business and technical stakeholders, external technology partners, customers, and suppliers.


Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Lead, oversee, execute, and deliver a future-proof Supply Chain and Finance business vision, technology strategy, and capabilities roadmap with significant decision-making authority and hands-on involvement.
  • Understand and translate business needs of the Supply Chain and Finance functions into a value case and a comprehensive set of technological solutions, including data, processes, and user experience.
  • Oversee the Supply Chain and Finance IT project portfolio; identify, recommend, and implement IT applications and solution features based on business value, strategies, and priorities.
  • Develop awareness of external trends and insights related to supply chain and finance processes and relevant business IT technologies.
  • Lead design and application development efforts using an approach focused on validating business impact, applying agile principles, and optimizing end-to-end business processes.
  • Define and execute the expected value impact of technology investments on customer and supplier experience, operational excellence, and efficiency.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and IT architecture teams to define, map, and execute system and process architecture within the overall IT landscape.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and technical expert to senior Supply Chain, Finance, and IT leadership throughout all technology application lifecycles from inception to value realization.
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure applications support business growth, measurable KPIs, user-friendly and reliable systems, and excellent support operations.
  • Participate in managing vendor relationships to influence successful Supply Chain and Finance roadmaps and ensure technology partners meet business needs.
  • Bridge the gap between technology applications and business requirements, fostering collaboration to deliver strategic, best-in-class solutions.
  • Work closely with business and technology partners to develop roadmaps, prioritize features and releases, and assist in execution.
  • Embrace Agile principles, lead sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring efficient and successful application and solution delivery.
  • Ensure development activities meet the highest standards of user experience, documentation, quality, security, and compliance.
  • Estimate application development effort and resources to prioritize requirements effectively.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Supply Chain and Finance IT enterprise applications and solutions, translating business requirements into executable deliverables.
  • Lead a team of Supply Chain and Finance technology experts across multiple domains and locations.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required by business needs and priorities.


Role Requirements

Academic Education & Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related domain. Master in Business Administration or related field is a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive business technology experience in the domain of IT Supply Chain and Finance.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing and developing high performing teams.
  • Certification and / or proficiency in project management.
  • Certification and / or proficiency in IT development methodologies.
  • Certification, working knowledge, and / or familiarity with cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms.


Operational & Managerial Experience

  • Strong project management knowledge with practical experience and a proven track record of delivering results in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders across regions, countries, and business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute operationally, and drive innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills for planning, developing, and executing business projects.
  • Deep experience with IT Supply Chain and Finance applications, systems, and processes, with the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in managing IT budgets and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with business stakeholders, user communities, IT vendors, and suppliers while ensuring high performance and ethical standards.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading IT professionals, including team leads and specialists, with the ability to inspire and guide high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in coordinating system enhancements, rollouts, fixes, releases, and upgrades.
  • Strong facilitation skills to gather, analyze, and deliver business requirements, particularly within Supply Chain and Finance functions.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation capabilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Full adherence to change management policies and the ability to advocate for the value of standards, processes, and compliance requirements.


Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong ability to work with diverse Supply Chain and Finance systems and processes to include Enterprise Resources Planning (such as JDE, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, others), Warehouse Management Systems (such as Infor, Manhattan, Körber, others) Transportation Management Systems, and other digital and automation capabilities.
  • Experience in delivering Supply Chain and Finance IT enterprise applications, services and solutions in a complex, matrix, and integrated business IT environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to collaboratively approach challenges, opportunities, and techniques with an inquisitive mind focusing on solutions and business value.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and experience in FMCG industry with technical capabilities is preferred.


Language Skills

  • English: Fluent
  • Arabic, French, Turkish and German is a plus.
