IT Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, as demonstrated by work experience and/or educational pursuits. The Support Specialis will provide technical support, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and assist customers with their technology needs. You will receive training as needed. All tools, hardware, and software needed for the position will be supplied by the company.

Duties

• Provide technical support for Windows, Mac, and Linux devices, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution.
• Troubleshoot software issues and perform hardware diagnostics to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems and applications on various devices.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of various systems including but not limited to cameras, cloud hosted VoIP, servers, networking, ETC.
• Conduct field service tasks, including on-site repairs and maintenance of network and computer data systems.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve customer experience.
• Maintain accurate records of service requests, resolutions, and customer interactions.
• Engage in retail sales activities by providing product recommendations based on customer needs.

Experience

• Prior knowledge, skill and ability to build or repair IT systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems to successful resolution
• Previous experience in technical support or retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• Knowledge of IT system hardware components and diagnostics
• Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for various platforms (Windows, Android, iOS, Mac).
• High school diploma or GED
• Clean criminal background
• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders and go into tight spaces such as attics or crawl spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
