Job Description

Technical Support and Operations

• Provide first-level technical support for common issues such as password resets, account access, printing, and basic workstation troubleshooting.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues under the guidance of senior IT staff.
• Document work performed, solutions identified, and procedures followed to support knowledge sharing and consistency.

Systems, Devices, and Asset Management

• Support the setup, imaging, deployment, and replacement of laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
• Assist with maintaining accurate IT asset records, including equipment tracking, labeling, and inventory updates.
• Update and manage tickets, tasks, and asset records within IT service management platforms.

Learning, Exposure, and Development

• Shadow IT team members during system maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns to build foundational IT knowledge and professional skills.
• Learn and follow IT standards, procedures, and security best practices.

Customer Service and Communication

• Deliver professional, courteous, and timely support to internal users in person, by phone, or via email.
• Clearly document user issues, actions taken, and outcomes, escalating issues appropriately when beyond Level 1 scope.
• Develop strong communication skills by interacting with users at varying technical skill levels.

Project and Team Support

• Assist with research, documentation, and preparation related to ongoing IT initiatives and departmental projects.
• Support testing and validation efforts for new systems, applications, and technology rollouts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve processes or documentation

Requirements

To be considered, preferred applicants should present the following:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Ability to commute to Paterson, NJ daily
