Position Summary

The Paloma is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for our remote team. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day system functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a seamless user experience across all company devices and platforms.

The ideal candidate is responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting a distributed workforce using modern cloud-based tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues via remote support tools, email, and video conferencing
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, mobile devices, and user environments
  • Support cloud-based systems including Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including system setup and access provisioning
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures
  • Monitor system performance and escalate issues when necessary
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
  • Ensure adherence to company security policies and data protection standards
  • Support implementation and rollout of new tools and systems

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with endpoint management or device provisioning tools
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and access control
  • Experience supporting remote or distributed teams
  • Exposure to SaaS tools and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, Microsoft certifications)
